Australia’s Stevie Spark has stunned the boxing world – with a little help from his opponent’s utter brain fade – defeating previously unbeaten American Montana Love via disqualification.
Fighting for the WBA Intercontinental super lightweight title, Spark (16-2) was already taking Love (18-1-1) to the limit, before things got out of hand in the sixth round.
An accidental head clash saw a cut open above Love’s eye, the pair resuming the bout and brawling into the ropes.

But as they clinched, Love then bizarrely threw Spark over the top rope, much like a WWE Royal Rumble elimination, and was disqualified by referee David Field.
While Love furiously denied the act was intentional it sure appeared that way and the referee went against him.
“Bloody good landing if you ask me!” Spark quipped about his ability to fall onto his feet.
Boos rained down from Love’s hometown fans in Cleveland as Spark celebrated on the top rope.
“For a moment I couldn’t see, I didn’t know how bad the cut was,” Love said.
“The whole plan was to let him wear down and grab him in the later rounds. I definitely want to fight him again.”
