BBL LIVE: Stars seeking revenge after Brisbane Test star’s final-ball heroics

Stars gun Beau Webster has dropped Test superstar Marnus Labuschagne on zero, giving the Heat’s key batsmen a second chance — before he threw his wicket away only two balls later.

Melbourne seamer, bowling overs 140kmph, swung the ball away, enticing Labuschagne into a drive and catching the edge of his Kookaburra bat.

Webster looked to have the catch covered, before the ball bobbled out of his hands, shocking Fox Cricket’s commentators.

“Dropped, enormous put down… Webster puts down what he would surely put down as a sitter,” Fox Cricket’s Dan Ginnane said.

“Beautiful delivery, Beau Webster, Tasmanians would say he has the safest hands in the state,” Fox Cricket’s Kerry O’Keeffe said.

Labuschagne only faced two more balls before his scooped a Luke Wood delivery into the air, allowing Nathan Coulter-Nile to take a simple catch, leaving the Brisbane side at 2/20 after 2.1 overs.
