Two BBL finals threats will clash on Tuesday night, with the Adelaide Strikers hosting the Melbourne Renegades at Adelaide Oval.
The Renegades (3rd, 5-4), who’ve won their past two matches, have named leg-spinning all-rounder Matt Critchley (England) and veteran first class leg-spinner Ruwantha Kellapotha (Sri Lanka) in their squad as international replacement players for overseas spinners Akeal Hosein and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who’ve both completed their nine-match BBL stints.
The Strikers (5th, 4-4), who in their most recent game pulled off a record run chase to beat the Hurricanes and snap a four-game losing streak, haven’t included Aussie Test stars Travis Head and Alex Carey in their 13-man squad, with the duo expected to return for Adelaide’s clash against Brisbane Heat on Saturday. But opener Henry Hunt returns to the squad in place of Rashid Khan, who has travelled to South Africa for SA20.
