Barcelona thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 in their Copa de la Reina semifinal first leg on Thursday, making it 17 consecutive wins against their Clásico rivals.
Salma Paralluelo and Ewa Pajor both scored twice as Barcelona took a four-goal lead in the first half at Madrid’s Alfredo di Stéfano stadium, and then Pajor completed her hat trick late on.
It’s the first of three Clásico meetings this month, as the teams will play the second leg at the Johan Cruyff Stadium next week, on March 12, before meeting again in Liga F on March 23.
Barcelona have won the Copa de la Reina a record 10 times, including six in the last decade, most recently in 2024.

Their opponents in the final will be either Atlético Madrid or Granada, with Atletico winning the first leg 2-0 on Wednesday.
Paralluelo put Barça ahead in the second minute — in pouring rain — after Madrid goalkeeper Misa failed to deal with Caroline Graham Hansen‘s cross.
Pajor doubled the visitors’ lead, pouncing on a loose ball inside the six-yard box, and made it 3-0 inside the opening half hour after another Misa error.
Paralluelo added a fourth before half-time, after Ona Batlle‘s clever pass found Graham Hansen in space, and Pajor made it five in the 78th minute, sliding in from close range.
Real Madrid Femenino have now been unable to beat Barcelona in 17 meetings, since Madrid were formed in 2020.
