Australian Test captain Pat Cummins will briefly return home from the subcontinent due to a private family matter.
According to a NewsCorp report, the 29-year-old will travel to Sydney for a couple of days before returning to India ahead of the third Test in Indore, which gets underway on Wednesday, March 1.
India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Sunday after defeating Australia by six wickets in Delhi. Cummins has taken three wickets at 39.66 in the series to date.
Last week, Australian leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson returned home for the birth of his first child, replaced in the Test squad by Queensland teammate Matthew Kuhnemann.
Swepson is set to rejoin the Australian camp in India ahead of the third Test, NewsCorp reports.

Australia bowled out for 113 in the second innings at Delhi after a horrific collapse of 9-48 on Sunday morning, with Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja claiming career-best figures of 7-42.
“Disappointed, we were ahead of the game but we slipped,” Cummins told reporters after the defeat.
“Everyone controls their own game, some balls just have your name.
“But I think there will be a review. Shot choice, did we go about it the right way?
“I thought they bowled really well, it’s not easy out there, but perhaps some guys went away from their methods.
“Each batter has their own way to go about it. I don’t think there’s any one size fits all rule.
“Unfortunately, quite a few of us got out with kind of cross-batted shots, which might not be our preferred method.”

Speaking on Fox Cricket, former Australian captain Allan Border said he was “disappointed” and “shell-shocked” by the carnage that had unfolded in Delhi.
“I’m angry about the way they went about it today,” Border said.
“It was panicky, frenetic sort of batting … nobody got in there to stem the flow with some good defensive cricket.
“They were all just getting out playing sweep shot, reverse sweep to just about every ball.
“You can’t get away with that on that sort of track. You’ve got to have a method.”
Australia’s players will be given a couple of days to recuperate before attention shifts towards the third Test at Holkar Cricket Stadium, which kicks off in nine days.
