Baseball fans around the world were recently stunned by an incredible feat of sportsmanship. Australian pitcher, Ryan Rowland-Smith, had the audacity to challenge and defeat baseball’s greatest of all time, Babe Ruth. How did he do it? Rowland-Smith recently gave a hilarious explanation of how he was able to pull off this remarkable feat.
Rowland-Smith began by saying that he had been studying the great Babe Ruth for months. He had watched countless hours of footage, read every book he could find, and even consulted with some of the greatest baseball minds in the game. He said that he was determined to find a way to beat the great Bambino.
The Australian pitcher then went on to explain his strategy. He said that he had decided to take advantage of Ruth’s legendary appetite for hot dogs. He figured that if he could distract the great hitter with a hot dog, it would give him enough time to get the ball past him. So, Rowland-Smith devised a plan to have a hot dog vendor stationed right behind home plate during the game.
Sure enough, when Ruth stepped up to the plate, Rowland-Smith threw a pitch that was just out of reach of the great hitter. As Ruth reached for the ball, the hot dog vendor stepped in and offered him a hot dog. Ruth, being the gentleman that he was, accepted the offer and took a bite out of the hot dog. This gave Rowland-Smith just enough time to get the ball past him and strike him out.
Rowland-Smith’s strategy worked and he was able to defeat one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. His explanation of how he did it was both hilarious and inspiring. He showed that even against seemingly insurmountable odds, it is possible to come out on top with a little bit of ingenuity and determination.
