VIDEO: The state of play
It’s a double change: Neser comes on
Australia bring in Queenslander Michael Neser.
Lyon and Neser replace Starc and Boland.
Quick reminder: Nathan Lyon has taken 449 Test wickets. He’s in third spot overall for Australia behind Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath.
New bowler: Nathan Lyon
Australia’s offie gets his first overs for the day.
Looking back … lows for West Indies
This innings total will be low for West Indies, but they are quickly moving away from their lowest Test totals. Interestingly, their second-lowest total – 51 runs – came against Australia in 1999.
Moving on
New batter Roston Chase is looking pretty comfortable, but there’s a mountain of work to do ..
West Indies 6-56, 30 overs
WICKET! Starc strikes
Ohhhh, goodness, Mitchell Starc removes Jason Holder with a piercing delivery.
His stumps are sent flying! Starc’s delivery to the right-hander hit the top of off stump and it rattled the cage.
West Indies 6-49, 28.1 overs
The new batter is ….
Joshua Da Silva joins Jason Holder in the middle.
There are five wickets up for grabs – and for the Australians to potentially share around. But Scott Boland already has three and could finish with stunning innings figures, Nathan Lyon is one wicket shy of 450 Test wickets and Michael Neser, after getting a Test berth, really wants to impress.
WICKET: Another one falls
Australia strike early on day four. It’s Mitchell Starc, who removes Devon Thomas.
Starc has bowled a good consistent line so far and angled his delivery across the right-hander. He reached for the ball and only manged to deliver a solid edge to ’keeper Alex Carey.
West Indies 5-42, 25 overs
Devon Thomas c Carey b Starc 12 (56 balls)
VOTE: Have your say
Scott’s Boland’s ridiculous figures
He’s coming in to bowl for the second over of the day …
But a quick reminder of what he’s done in the second innings thus far: 3-9 from six overs, including three maidens – one of those a three-wicket maiden!
First delivery. We have a DRS
It’s a player review for LBW.
After deliberation between Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc, they take their appeal upstairs.
The delivery caught the upper leg of Devon Thomas.
It’s …. NOT OUT.
The video review showed the ball pitching in line with the leg stump, but going over the top.
