Teams set for hot and sticky Sunday
The state of play
Yesterday wasn’t a good day for cricket, but the Aussies put in a good stint with the bat with the time they had.
Rookie opener Nathan McSweeney weathered the storm of the Indian quicks, and although he has just 4 runs from 33 balls, it was a good test of temperament. He’s still finding his feet in this Australian team.
Opening partner Usman Khawaja was able to find the boundary a few times off the short ball from Jasprit Bumrah, with 19 runs from 47 balls.
Now it’s time to see who benefits most from yesterday’s lengthy rain delay. The first half hour is the danger period for Australia.

Welcome
Good morning cricket fans, and welcome to our live coverage of day two of the third Test between Australia and India in Brisbane.
Billie Eder here to take you through the day, which hopefully includes many more hours of play than yesterday.
In case you missed it, it was a very soggy day one out at the Gabba – the Aussies faced just 13 overs before the heavens opened up and play was eventually abandoned.

Good news is Australia are 0-28, bad news is there is a little bit of rain forecast for today.
Play gets under way 10:50am AEDT (9:50am Brissy time) with a minimum of 98 overs to be bowled. We’re in for a big one.
