Former St Kilda player now NFL punter Arryn Siposs’ quest to play in Monday’s Super Bowl has received a massive boost after being elevated off the injury list onto the Eagles’ active roster.
Siposs, who has not played since Week 14 against the New York Giants, is now eligible to play in the biggest game of the year, taking back his job from Brett Kern.
Siposs averaged 45.6 yards per punt this season with a 40.5-yard net average, Kern, a 3-time pro bowler took the Aussie’s place, averaging 42.2 yards per punt with a 37.7-yard net average.
It means that Siposs will suit up with fellow Aussie Jordan Mailata, making history as the first time two Australians have played on the same team in America’s biggest sporting event.
