Breaking: A trade is on the way
By Marc McGowan
Carlton are set to secure pick three in this year’s super draft and Richmond star Liam Baker will get to West Coast as part of a three-way deal.
The deal is all-but finalised, and just waiting on agreement from all three parties, but is likely to see Carlton receive picks three, 63 and 68, while handing over selections 12, 14 and 73 to West Coast, plus out-of-contract small forward Matt Owies. The Eagles will keep 12 and forward 14 to the Tigers for Baker. A source familiar with negotiations confirmed the deal on the condition of anonymity.

Blockbuster Houston trade falls over, for now
The three-way blockbuster trade that would have made All-Australian Dan Houston a Collingwood player and Jack Lukosius a Port Adelaide player has fallen over after the Power rejected the latest form of the deal.
While the parties had been edging towards a trade – in which the Magpies would give up a future first-round and John Noble plus a second-round pick for Houston, with Port landing pick 13 and Lukosius and Rory Atkins from the Suns – Port on Monday night rejected the deal as proposed.
Good morning
