Former St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt has made a dream start to life in America, appearing on ESPN’s Super Bowl coverage.
Riewoldt relocated to his wife’s hometown of Texas this year, stepping down from his role as a high-profile commentator, which included time at Fox Footy.
His stint in the United States picked up steam quickly, with the six-time best and fairest winner accepting an offer to do freelance work with ESPN in the lead-up to the Super Bowl.

“It’s on another level, there’s a huge vibe, huge buzz in town,” Riewoldt told Triple M’s The Rush Hour.
“Made the move over to Texas a few weeks ago and got a call out of the blue from an Australian guy at ESPN asking if I wanted to cover it.
“I’m pissing myself to be honest, this is an absolutely dream come true.”
Riewoldt’s former teammate Arryn Siposs is also at the centre of Super Bowl coverage, with the Philadelphia Eagles punter playing in the decider against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“He was really optimistic that he was going to get up to play,” Riewoldt said.
“It’s an amazing story and I just hope he goes well.”
Another Australian will take to the field with Siposs, that being Sydney-born Jordan Mailata.
