Cats’ Round 14 Team

HB: M.O’Connor, T.Stewart, J.Henry
C: M.Holmes, M.Blicavs, I.Smith
HF: O.Henry, G.Rohan, T.Stengle
F: T.Hawkins, J.Cameron, G.Miers
FOLL: J.Ceglar, T.Bruhn, T.Atkins
I/C: J.Bews, J.Kolodjashnij, M.Duncan, B.Close

In: P.Dangerfield, M.Holmes, M.Duncan
Out: M.Knevitt (Omitted), O.Mullin (Injured), Z.Tuohy (Managed), S.Simpson (Sub)
Team Tips: The Cats lose Patrick Dangerfield for the immediate future with rib and lung injuries, but in better news they will be boosted by availability of several players. Rhys Stanley is in the frame for his first senior game since round five, having returned through the VFL last Friday night from a facial fracture. He could replace Jon Ceglar in the senior side, while Tanner Bruhn and Oisin Mullin are also available for selection following shoulder and adductor issues respectively. Sam Menegola and Shannon Neale will play in the VFL as both eye an eventual AFL return.
Demons’ Round 13 team
B: Rivers, May, Lever
HB: Hibberd, Tomlinson, Smith
C: Hunter, Viney, Sparrow
HF: Spargo, Fritsch, Neal-Bullen
F: Van Rooyen, Grundy, Chandler

I/C: Salem, Brayshaw, Langdon, McVee
EMG: Melksham, Schache, Jordon, Woewodin
IN: Hibberd
OUT: Bowey (concussion), Harmes (suspension)
Team Tips: All eyes centre on Clayton Oliver, who is yet to be declared fully fit for Thursday’s game after an infection saw him admitted to hospital briefly last week. The Dees say he is heading in the right direction but still has a number of key indicators to tick off. Harrison Petty and Jake Bowey are both also in the frame to return. All three should come straight back into the side if fit and available.

Team Tips: Zak Jones, Jack Billings and Dan McKenzie are all set to return via the VFL this week. Tim Membrey won’t be back either. Ben Paton had 35 disposals in the VFL over the weekend, responding to his AFL omission with class. Jack Bytel also played well with 30 disposals as he too pushes for a senior recall.
Lions’ Round 14 team
B: B.Starcevich, R.Lester, J.Payne
HB: C.McKenna, H.Andrews, K.Coleman
C: J.Berry, Z.Bailey, C.Rayner

Out: J.Prior (Omitted), D.Gardiner (Injured), H.McCluggage (Injured), D.Rich (Managed), J.Gunston (Managed)
Team Tips: Hugh McCluggage will return to the senior side. Daniel Rich and Jack Gunston won’t be back in the short term as they continue to build over a training block before deciding whether a VFL or AFL return is better. Dayne Zorko was managed with calf tightness and is still listed as a test for Friday night, as is Darcy Gardiner. Jaxon Prior was good in the VFL with 24 disposals after being omitted from the senior side. James Madden also offered a lot of run, while Jarryd Lyons continued to push his case.

Swans’ Round 14 Team

C: B.Campbell, J.Rowbottom, J.McInerney
HF: W.Hayward, H.McLean, E.Gulden
F: T.Papley, J.Amartey, S.Wicks
FOLL: T.Hickey, L.Parker – C, Ch.Warner

EMG: H.Arnold, Co.Warner, L.McAndrew, D.Stephens
In: L.Parker, J.Buller
Out: R.Clarke (Omitted), I.Heeney (Injured), L.Franklin (Injured)
Team Tips: The Swans could be boosted by a number of key inclusions. Lance Franklin missed last week due to knee soreness, while Isaac Heeney had delayed concussion. Both are in line to return on Saturday afternoon. Tom McCartin is back in full training and was one of a number of players to train last Friday. That group included Callum Mills, with the midfielder not playing since round nine due to a calf injury. There’ll be at least one forced change, with Sam Wicks accepting a two-match ban for striking Ryan Lester.
Eagles’ Round 13 team
B: L.Foley, R.Bazzo, A.Witherden
HB: L.Edwards, J.Waterman, J.Hunt
C: B.Hough, T.Kelly, A.Gaff
HF: D.Sheed, J.Darling, J.Petruccelle
F: R.Maric, O.Allen, N.Long
FOLL: B.Williams, E.Yeo, L.Shuey – C
I/C: R.Ginbey, S.Petrevski-Seton, X.O’Neill, G.Clark
EMG: C.Chesser, Z.Trew, H.Barnett, J.Williams
In: L.Edwards, J.Darling, R.Maric, L.Shuey, S.Petrevski-Seton
Out: L.Duggan (Suspension), S.Hurn (Injured), J.Rotham (Injured), C.West (Injured), C.Jamieson (Injured), E.Hewett (Injured)
Team Tips: Like the Swans, West Coast could be boosted by a number of handy inclusions. Tom Barrass is aiming to return from a hip issue, while Shannon Hurn and Jeremy McGovern are both looking to come back from hamstring concerns, with the latter absent from the side since round three after a hamstring tear. Liam Duggan managed a suspension, brief stint in hospital and a toe issue, but is also in the frame to return against the Swans. Elijah Hewett is also available for selection after he was concussed by a bump from Jordan De Goey over two weeks ago.

James Aish was initially expected to miss a couple of matches, but is listed as a test for this week against the Bombers. Michael Frederick will train on Wednesday and a call on his availability will be made then, while Matthew Johnson is available despite being subbed out against the Giants with a hip pointer issue.
Bombers’ Round 13 team

EMG: N.Bryan, J.Kelly, T.Wanganeen, A.Phillips
In: P.Wright, N.Bryan, J.Kelly, T.Wanganeen
Out: D.Shiel (Injured), A.Phillips (Omitted)
Team Tips:Darcy Parish is on the cusp of a return to play his first game since round eight and is likely. Dylan Shiel is still battling a foot injury that kept him out of the round 13 side and is a test for this week. Will Setterfield is still a couple of weeks away, while Zach Reid will likely return from his hamstring injury via the VFL. Sam Draper is another test as he deals with a hip issue.

I/C: John Noble, Taylor Adams, Beau McCreery, Harvey Harrison
EMG: Trent Bianco, Finlay Macrae, Reef McInnes, Oleg Markov
IN: Lipinski
OUT: Jordan De Goey (suspended)
Team Tips: The Pies suffered a fresh setback this week with news Dan McStay would miss at least a few more weeks following an infection in the finger he was rehabilitating after surgery in April. Jamie Elliott has missed two matches with a shoulder injury and is listed as a test. Steele Sidebottom says he has set his sights on round 18 for a return, while Jeremy Howe continues to progress in his recovery from a forearm injury.
Crows’ Round 13 team
B: B.Smith, J.Butts, N.Murray

EMG: L.Gollant, H.Schoenberg, B.Cook, N.McHenry
In: J.Worrell
Out: T.Doedee (Injured), N.McHenry (Sub)
Team Tips: Good luck making too many changes to a side that won its last match by 122 points. The Crows had the bye last week and will likely go into Sunday’s game against Collingwood unchanged, with no changes on the club’s injury list.

GOLD COAST SUNS V HAWTHORN
Sunday June 25, 4:40pm at Heritage Bank Stadium
Suns’ Round 14 Team
B: C.Ballard, S.Collins, J.Jeffrey
HB: B.Long, D.Macpherson, W.Powell
C: B.Fiorini, D.Swallow, B.Ainsworth
HF: M.Rosas, N.Holman, J.Lukosius
F: T.Berry, B.King, L.Casboult
FOLL: J.Witts – C, M.Rowell, N.Anderson
I/C: M.Andrew, R.Atkins, A.Davies, B.Humphrey
In: M.Andrew
Out: J.Farrar (Omitted), B.Uwland (Sub)
Team Tips: Lachie Weller is a chance to return for his first game since round seven, when he suffered a knee injury. He’s set to undergo testing later in the week. Joel Jeffrey will be one forced change after the club confirmed he will miss at least the next six weeks with a stress reaction in his foot. Charlie Constable suffered a concussion in the VFL and will miss at least this week’s match. Connor Budarick got through unscathed at VFL level as he looks to make his senior comeback from a right ACL rupture in July last year.
Hawks’ Round 13 team
B: B.Hardwick, J.Blanck, J.Impey
HB: J.Sicily – C, J.Scrimshaw, L.Bramble
C: K.Amon, J.Worpel, J.Weddle
HF: S.Butler, J.Koschitzke, D.Moore
F: L.Breust, M.Lewis, C.Macdonald
FOLL: N.Reeves, W.Day, J.Newcombe
I/C: S.Mitchell, C.Nash, T.Brockman, L.Meek
EMG: C.Stephens, B.Macdonald, H.Morrison, C.Mackenzie
In: J.Sicily, S.Mitchell
Out: S.Frost (Injured), B.Macdonald (Omitted), C.Mackenzie (Sub)
Team Tips: Changkuoth Jiath is looking to return from a calf injury after missing four matches, but the club says he still has slight awareness in the area, so he is by no means guaranteed for a return this weekend. Sam Frost and Luke Breust have both been cleared to return from foot and quad issues respectively. There will be one forced change with James Sicily’s three-match suspension upheld at the AFL Appeal Board. Given the impressive performance from the Hawks heading into the bye, it’s hard to make too many choice changes, although Breust at least will have to come back in.
