The AFL is expected to investigate a video involving Collingwood star midfielder Jack Crisp.
The video is expected to trigger an integrity unit probe, in which the AFL collaborates with Collingwood.
The video was circulating widely on social media on Wednesday night.
Collingwood confirmed it had already been in contact with the AFL.
“The Collingwood Football Club is aware of a video circulating online this evening involving AFL player Jack Crisp,” the club said in a statement.
“The club has been in contact with the AFL and will work through the situation before providing a further update.”
The lewd video, seen by The Age, appears to show a person swiping through Snapchat photos of Crisp before an image is shown of a nude man.
It is not confirmed whether the photo was of Crisp as the man’s face is not visible.
Football sources indicated the video appeared to be historical.
The timing is unwelcome for the Magpies, who are unbeaten and face the Brisbane Lions on Thursday night in a huge clash at the Gabba.
More to come
