The Dockers (0-2) came into Round 3 as arguably the AFL team under the most pressure following shock losses to St Kilda then North Melbourne. Lose to West Coast on Sunday and Justin Longmuir’s side will be 0-3 — and only two sides since 2000 have made the top four from a 0-3 start.
The Eagles (1-1), meanwhile, will be hoping to carry the momentum of their Round 2 victory over the Giants into the derby, as a 2-1 record would give them hope of challenging for the lower part of the eight.
