The franchise announced that Brown would arrive in Bangladesh as soon as Friday in time for their next match on Saturday in Sylhet.

Brown’s management had fielded offers from franchises in both the BPL and the UAE’s ILT20 after his stunning 57-ball innings of 140, which included a Big Bash record 12 sixes and landed the Heat into the final.

The 30-year-old bat maker from Brisbane declared his interest in taking his big-hitting talents to any overseas leagues that would have him.

“Absolutely, I’d be interested,” Brown said after his record-breaking 140.

“If the opportunity came up, I’d take it with both hands. I’ve just got to keep scoring runs.”

Brown and English batter Phil Salt have both been added to the BPL team, which lost Pakistan’s Mohammad Haris, who was denied an “no objection certificate” by his country’s board.

Brown’s contract comes after fellow Big Bash breakout star Jake Fraser-McGurk earnt a call-up to the UAE T20 league as well as inclusion in the Australian ODI squad to play the West Indies.
