Carlos Alcaraz is bidding to make even more history when he takes on Alexander Zverev in a blockbuster quarterfinal on night 11 at the Australian Open.
The 20-year-old is gunning to complete the last of his grand slam semi final set, having reached the last four at the other three majors.

He faces an opponent who has had to battle his way through the draw, with Zverev having won a couple of match-deciding tiebreaks in his opening four wins.
Alcaraz is competing in just his third Australian Open and 12th major overall, despite already having two grand slam titles to his name.
The pair’s match will come after a women’s quarterfinal, with 12th seeded Qinwen Zheng facing Anna Kalinskaya, who is competing in her first major quarterfinal.
Zheng made the quarterfinals of last year’s US Open, underscoring her claims as one of the game’s brightest young talents.
At 21, she is the youngest women’s player from China to make the quarterfinals at the Australian Open.
