Here are the key matches for day eight of the Australian Open:

And I’m just like oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh (oh). You need to calm down, you’re being too loud.

Freelance writer Neil McMahon has penned an op-ed for us this morning detailing how the joy of Australia’s greatest major event is starting to fade with unrelenting crowds and a “dynamic” pricing system that’s dynamically prohibitive.
There are queues, and queues, and then more queues. There are the food and drink prices. And there is the scheduling that, this week, left fans choosing between watching what they had paid for – a night match that, we had been promised, was more likely to finish on time – or trying to find a way home at 4am.
And the ticket prices? While the ground pass remains great value (if you can get a seat anywhere near a court, that is), there is some outrageous gouging going on by Tennis Australia and Ticketmaster.

For example, dynamically priced men’s finals tickets are presently going on Ticketmaster for $5999.

It’s almost overwhelming, the amount of reigning grand slam champions and fan favourites on today.
A great day to get down to Melbourne Park to scream “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie” or “Nolannn!” in person, or, settle in on the couch with a bag of chips, feet up.

Good morning
Good morning and welcome to day eight of the Australian Open. Day eight! Can you believe we’re already hitting the second week? Boy, the tournament is off to a flyer.
This fine Sunday, you’ve got me, Marnie Vinall, coming to you from Melbourne Park with all the day action before Roy Ward takes over for the evening.
And, man on man, do we have an exciting day on the cards. A super Sunday of all stars, if you will.
Homegrown hopeful Alex de Minaur will headline the evening for us Aussies, hitting the court at Rod Laver Arena for his first big test this tournament, a match up with the world No.5, Andrey Rublev.

Before that, it’s the old guard with world No.1 Novak Djokovic and Frenchman Adrian Mannarino proving time doesn’t matter on one’s knees (well, for some, not me).
There’s also reigning US Open champion Coco Gauff up against Magdalena Frech and defending Aus Open champion Aryna Sabalenka squaring off with American Amanda Anisimova.
The Greek contingent of Melbourne will be back out in force cheering on Stefanos Tsitsipas as he takes on USA star Taylor Fritz. This also means we’ll be treated to high fashion, with Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle known for her courtside Prada and Chanel. Fun!
