Manchester United flop Donny van de Beek will look to reignite his career in Germany after agreeing a loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt for the second half of the season.
The deal includes an option to buy for €11m (£9.5m), with an additional 3m euros (£2.6m) in add-ons – which would mark a significant loss on the £35m that Manchester United paid for him in September 2020.
But since that arrival from Ajax – who he led to the Champions League semi-final in 2019 – things have not gone to plan, as he failed to break into the first team under three different United managers.

The Dutch midfielder has made 62 appearances with two goals for United, but started just six Premier League games.
Van de Beek was loaned to Everton in the second half of the 2021-22 season, and suffered a serious knee injury the following season.
Eintracht are sixth in the German Bundesliga, currently nine points outside the top four, and are in the Europa Conference League play-offs.
Van de Beek is the first major move of the January transfer window, with United expected to offload a host of other unwanted players in a bid to reshape the squad.
