Scone trainer Cameron Crockett will venture to his home track on Tuesday, where he will saddle up a number of leading contenders on the seven-race card.

Crockett’s first runners will line up in the Darley Maiden Plate (1100m) with a pair of first starters, Don’t Call Me Honey and Dances With Hooves, representing the stable.

“They are both very nice horses,” said Crockett. “Don’t Call Me Honey has jumped and run in both his recent trials. He ran the fastest time of the morning at Tamworth last time out and while he’s drawn wide, it’s not really a problem from the 1100m chute at Scone.”

Just like Don’t Call Me Honey, Dances With Hooves has won her two most recent trials and Crockett thinks there isn’t much between the pair.

“Her latest two trials have both been very good as well,” said Crockett. “She’s done it twice, so she’s ready to go to the races with a bit of confidence.”

Crockett has Dancedes resuming from a spell in the Ole Kirk First Yearlings Country Boosted Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m).

“She’s a very talented mare and she won well at Scone in January on debut,” said Crockett. “She’s had a few issues since then, but she’s back and ready to run well on the back of some solid trials. Ashley Morgan went to Tamworth the other day to trial her, which was a good pointer, and he has stuck with her.”

Taborca resumes from a long spell in the Emirates Park Class 1 Handicap (1400m) and Crockett thinks he will run well fresh.

“He’s a talented horse with a good record,” said Crockett. “His owners have been patient with him, as he’s had a few things go wrong, but I’m confident they will be rewarded now.

“He has some solid race form and his trials have been good as well.”

Crockett will have three runners in the final event of the day, the Pryde’s Easifeed Stamina Benchmark 66 Handicap (1300m).

“Indicative is a handy horse and he should race close to the speed, but if they go hard, I’d like to see him settle just off them,” said Crockett.

“Limited Reality has drawn well and should be prominent, while Adelsun will run well if the rain comes.”
