The Dally M team of the year will be revealed at Wednesday night’s awards and Fox League’s Braith Anasta and Corey Parker have had a crack at picking their best XIIIs for season 2022.
Changes made two seasons ago mean a full side — featuring two wingers, centres, props and backrowers — will be named in a team of the season based on Dally M votes.

DALLY M STATE OF PLAY: Predicted winners for every position as gun Dragon eyes top gong
How the Eels plan to slow down Cleary | 04:02
Ben Hunt and Nicho Hynes are among the favourites for the individual award but they don’t feature in Anasta and Parker’s best teams, which were picked on merit not predicted voting.
As expected reigning premiers Penrith feature heavily, with Nathan Cleary, James Fisher-Harris and Viliame Kikau selected by both experts. Parker also found a place on the wing for Taylan May and Isaah Yeo at lock while Anasta preferred Souths’ Alex Johnston and Cameron Murray in those positions.
The only other area in which the pair was split was the backrow where Anasta opted for Cowboys young gun Jeremiah Nanai while Parker picked in-form Shaun Lane, the only representative in either side from grand finalists Parramatta.
