Social media was sent into a spin on Thursday as Kyrgios and Morgan both shared a preview clip of the upcoming interview to their Instagram accounts.

The two have traded barbs over the years with Morgan slamming Kyrgios over his on-court antics.

Hostilities erupted back in 2016 after Kyrgios was knocked out during the fourth round at Wimbledon at the hands of Andy Murray.

Morgan launched a scathing attack on social media on the Aussie which prompted Kyrgios to snap back with a vulgar reply.

He took his attacks even further in 2022 after Kyrgios fell short in the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic with the British personality unleashing on Twitter.

“Kyrgios is such a monumental a**hole. Imagine hurling constant foul-mouthed abuse in a Wimbledon final at your own support team/family for YOUR bad shots?” he wrote.

But it seems time heals all wounds with the two coming together for an interview into the life and career of the 28-year-old Aussie.

In a snippet uploaded to social media, Kyrgios talks about the ordeal his mother endured after she was held at gunpoint by a man who stole his luxury green Tesla.

He mentions how his family has dealt with their fair share of racism in Australia and says that when he’s on the court he feels like he’s the villain.

“You feel like the bad guy in a movie, the main villain,” Kyrgios says.

“Every time I went out onto the court I knew that I could spoil somebody’s day … I love it.”

The interview is set to go to air on Piers Morgan Uncensored on Friday (AEDT).

Kyrgios’ 2023 was ruined by injuries with the Aussie missing out on all four Grand Slams as his ranking tumble well outside the top 100.

Despite being out of action the Canberra native remains one of the most talked about figures on the circuit and proved as much when he made his commentary debut at the ATP Finals.

The Aussie’s first appearance behind the microphone came in mid-November on the Tennis Channel and drew widespread praise from those watching on.

Unfortunately it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Kyrgios as he suffered a horror slip of the tongue while commentating Daniil Medvedev’s clash against Alexander Zverev.

“When you look at people who have had sex … success against Medvedev,” Kyrgios said.

“You know Alcaraz every time he plays against him he’s moving forward taking all those volleys, taking time away … it’s crucial.”

His fellow commentators weren’t going to let the gaffe go though as they quickly pointed out the error.

“Welcome to your first viral Tennis Channel moment, Nick. That was good,” Brett Haber said.
