Rabbitohs playmaker Cody Walker had to be restrained by a South Sydney official during a fiery post-match incident with Panthers head physiotherapist Pete Green.
Following Souths’ 32-12 preliminary final loss, Walker launched a verbal tirade aimed at the Penrith physio as teammates Cameron Muray and Davvy Moale alongside Rabbitohs chief operating officer Brock Schaefer diffused the situation.
The Panthers reportedly believe Walker took offence to a moment late in the game when Green attended to fullback Dylan Edwards after a Jed Cartwright tackle in the 69th minute.

Cartwright, a former Panthers player, approached Green to discuss to incident post-match before Walker got involved and had to be restrained.
Green was escorted from the field by Panthers officials and according to the The Age, no formal complaint has been lodged with the NRL.
Tensions are always running high when the Panthers and Rabbitohs face off, and once again Ivan Cleary’s side have come away with victory.
