Sheikh Jassim has reportedly withdrawn his offer to take over Manchester United and has turned his attention to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to The Mirror, who are reporting the Qatari businessman was beaten out by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is set to purchase a 25 per cent share of the Red Devils.
Ratcliffe will reportedly take over the club in the future, with United’s board reportedly set to vote on his move to become the club’s largest shareholder.

That has left Sheikh Jassim to look elsewhere, with the potential for the Qatari to purchase Tottenham Hotspur due to his keen interest in Premier League investment.
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who owns Qatar Sports Investments, has previously reportedly met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Qatar played host to the 2022 World Cup, and regional rivals Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhab have ownership of rival clubs Newcastle United and Manchester City.
The Qatar Sports Investment group reportedly won’t be placing a bid to purchase Spurs, however Sheikh Jassim could lead a consortium to take over the club.

Life in north London has got off to a great start for Postecoglou, with Spurs currently sitting atop the Premier League ladder.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have tallied 20 points, with Manchester City currently sit in third on 18 points, with six wins.
Spurs are currently the ninth most valuable team in the world according to Forbes, but with significant investment they could soar up the rankings.
Al-Khelaifi previously reportedly gave Sheikh Jassim advice in his bid to obtain 100 per cent ownership of Manchester United.
Now, if he turns his attention to Tottenham, Postecoglou could be set to receive a hefty war chest, reading to sign big-name players after Harry Kane departed only months ago.
