Immortal Andrew Johns has drawn the ire angry Rabbitohs fans after an embarrassing blunder in an interview with Mitchell Moses after the first preliminary final.
Johns asked Eels star Moses how they planned to beat the Panthers for the third time this year in the grand final.
In the aftermath of the Eels’ 24-20 win over the Cowboys to advance to their first grand final since 2009, Channel 9 commentator Johns made the blunder in an interview with the Parramatta halfback.

“You’ve beaten Penrith twice this year, why do you trouble Penrith, your style of play?” Johns asked Moses.
“Mate, I’m not too sure. They’re a great side. I think we like to go set-for-set with them and I feel they like to play that style of footy as well,” Moses replied.
It was an odd question 24 hours before the Panthers faced the Rabbitohs in the second preliminary final to decide who will meet the Eels in the decider.
Moses expanded on his answer to include the possibility of meeting Souths in the big dance in the awkward exchange with Johns.
“Whoever we’re playing next week, it will be a tough game but, you know, we’re ready,” Moses said.
Souths fans didn’t miss the on air gaffe and were happy to point out Johns had jumped the gun.

“What about Andrew Johns asking Moses about Penrith in the post-match interview — like they’ve already won? A lot of Souths fans are pissed off,” one Souths fan said.
“No mention of Souths like Penrith had it in the bag,” said another fan.
While the Panthers are the overwhelming favourites to win through to a third straight grand final, Souths are still an outside chance of springing an upset as the Eels did against the Cowboys in Townsville.

Souths arguably have a better chance to beat the Panthers than the Eels did the Cowboys, as they will be playing at their home ground with plenty of Bunnies faithful in the stands and Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker in red hot form.
No doubt Souths fans will be quick to remind Joey he put the mocker on Penrith if the Rabbitohs can pull off an almighty upset in the second preliminary final at Accor Stadium.
