Lance Franklin will remain a Sydney Swan in 2023.
The legendary forward confirmed he was re-signing for another year, five days out from the 2022 Grand Final.
In a tribute to Michael Jordan’s famous two-word fax that announced his return to the NBA, the Swans tweeted: “The following statement was released today by Lance Franklin, via the Sydney Swans Football Club located in Sydney, NSW, Australia, in response to questions about his future career plans: One more.”

Franklin was coming out of contract after the Grand Final, which will be the final game of his famous nine-year, $10 million deal.
The Swans had long been confident of re-signing him but concerns over his salary saw the process draw out to the point Franklin publicly announced talks were on hold.
Franklin has played 340 AFL games and kicked 1047 goals.
