Ryan Papenhuyzen’s 405-day recovery from a shattered kneecap will be complete when he runs out for the Storm in their clash with the Titans on Saturday.
Papenhuyzen suffered the gruesome injury in Round 18 last season. After a long journey, he returned to the field three weeks ago via Queensland Cup and is now ready to be unleashed in the NRL.

Coach Craig Bellamy won’t be throwing him into the deep end though — Papenhuyzen will start off the bench with Nick Meaney holding down the fullback spot for now.
It’s a handy boost for the Storm as they look to lock in a top four finish.
But they’ll be wary of the Titans given they produced a 38-34 upset in Round 3.
The Titans get some troops back with veteran playmaker Kieran Foran and young gun winger Jojo Fifita returning from respective sternum and ankle injuries.
