Hynes nullified, workhorse’s mixed bag as Ronaldo shines: Sharks Player Ratings

Nicho Hynes was kept quiet by some fierce South Sydney defence, while Dale Finucane struggled in defence and Ronaldo Mulitalo did everything in his power in a beaten side.

The Sharks ultimately bowed out of the finals in straight sets after a disappointing end to their season, failing to win a final despite finishing second on the ladder.

Ran for 57 metres from seven runs in the first half to go with a linebreak, but he also made an error. Finished with 96 run metres and a linebreak.

5. RONALDO MULITALO – 9

Ran for 24 metres from just two runs in the first half to go with a linebreak and two tackles. Brilliant tap back for Nikora to score the Sharks’ first try after halftime. Set up their second try for Ramien, before he was called back for off-side. Scored a length of the field intercept try to get the Sharks back in the game. Finished with a team high 135 metres and a try.

2. CONNOR TRACEY – 7

Ran for 42 metres in the first 40 to go with eight tackles without a miss after switching to centre. Finished with 111 metres and a linebreak.

3. JESSE RAMIEN – 8

Ran for 61 metres to go with seven tackles without a miss in the first half but he made an error. Backed up Mulitalo to score the Sharks’ second try, before he was called back for off-side. Contentious touch set up Mulitalo for a length of the field intercept. Finished with 110 metres.

18. LACHLAN MILLER – 4

The late inclusion ran for 29 metres from five runs in the first 40 to go with two tackle busts and two tackles, but he also missed two and made an error. Finished with just 41 metres to go with six missed tackles in a horror night.

6. MATT MOYLAN – 5

Ran for 20 metres from three first half runs to go with a linebreak assist and 13 tackles, but he missed two. Finished with 42 run metres and a linebreak assist but had five missed tackles and two errors.

7. NICHO HYNES – 6

Ran for 38 metres from five first half runs to go with a linebreak assist and six tackles, but he missed two and had an error. Finished with 68 run metres and a try assist, but had four errors.

8. TOBY RUDOLF – 6

Ran for 55 metres from seven runs to go with 15 tackles in the first half, but he missed three. Finished with 81 metres and 29 tackles.

9. BLAYKE BRAILEY – 6

Ran for 21 run metres in the first half to go with a tackle bust, an offload and 13 tackles with just one miss. Finished with 21 metres and a team high 35 tackles.

16. BRADEN HAMLIN-UELE – 6

Ran for 41 metres to go with six tackles after his promotion to starter in the first half. Finished with 72 metres and 11 tackles.

11. BRITON NIKORA – 6

Ran for just 10 metres from two runs to go with 12 tackles without a miss in the first 40. Backed up Mulitalo to score the Sharks’ first try. Finished with just 37 metres to go with 23 tackles, but missed three.

12. WADE GRAHAM – 6

Ran for 24 metres to go with 15 tackles without a miss in the first 40. Finished with just 48 metres but made 20 tackles.

13. DALE FINUCANE – 6

Led from the front to run for the most first half metres for the Sharks with 62 and also had 19 tackles, but missed three including a crucial one for Murray to score. Finished with the most metres by a Sharks forward with 101, but not his best night defensively.

14. TEIG WILTON – 5

Ran for six metres from one run in the first half to go with two tackles and two misses. Finished with 51 metres and 15 tackles, but missed three in a poor defensive night.

15. CAMERON MCINNES – 8

Ran for 24 metres in the first half to go with 17 tackles without a miss. Finished with 52 run metres and a team high 35 tackles without a miss.

17. ANDREW FIFITA – 7

Didn’t get on in the first half. Finished with 49 run metres and nine tackles in his last game for the club.

19. AIDEN TOLMAN – 6

Ran for 22 metres to go with nine tackles without a miss in the first half. Finished with 38 metres and 16 tackles without a miss in his final NRL game.
