The 26th edition of the Sydney Derby could be one of the best and most explosive yet when the Giants and Swans clash at Giants Stadium on Saturday night.
The Giants (11-8, 102.4%) are one of the AFL’s most in-form teams, winning a club-record seven straight games to put themselves in Position A for an unlikely finals berth.
The Swans (9-9-1, 111.2%), too, are making a late finals push off the back of three straight wins. But Saturday night’s derby will be the club’s first official match with Lance Franklin, who announced his retirement earlier this week after kicking 1066 goals.
