LIVE AFL: Blues get first look at life without star as luckless Eagles dealth late blow

A red-hot Carlton will be hoping for a fifth straight win to boost its late-season finals hopes when it meets the bottom-placed West Coast at Marvel Stadium.

The Blues (8-8-1, 111.4%) have won their past four consecutive matches, including an impressive 50-point win over flag contenders Port Adelaide last week. However they’ll be without star forward Harry McKay, who’s been ruled out for the rest of the home and away season with a knee issue.

The Eagles (1-16, 48.8%) are limping towards the end of the season and the wooden spoon. Fox Footy pundits put several senior players under the microscope last week as the club prepares to make big calls on its list.
