Australian heavyweight star Joe Goodall decided to call out Paul Gallen after his victory, but the 41-year-old quickly shot down any talk of a match and cheekily claimed “everyone wants a payday”.
Goodall forced Fosso to quit in strange scenes in their highly-anticipated clash ended with Fosso taking a knee – without being hit – and surrendering, with the referee stepping in to protect Fosso from taking damage.

The bout had already been odd enough, with the duo wrestling each other to the ground at one point, and Goodall hilariously spitting on his corner between rounds.
Goodall was told by his corner: “Have some water, spit it out, you’ve got some blood. The bucket’s there,” only to ignore them and spray one of his corner staff directly in the chest.
“That’ll do it,” his trainer replied dryly.
After the victory, Goodall’s effort on the microphone was equally bizarre.
“Paul Gallen, I’ve been calling out you for years, years,” Goodall said.
“You’ve been ducking and dodging. (Justis) Huni beat him, Kris Terzievski beat him, but that wasn’t good enough. That wasn’t enough punishment, that wasn’t enough blood.
“I’m the one to give him a bloody hiding. I’m the Queenslander, I’m the Queenslander here!”

He then took aim – briefly – at reigning Australian heavyweight champion Terzievski, who beat Gallen in May for the vacant belt.
Goodall said: “Or Kris Terzievski, he’s got the Australian title, so fight me next or vacate.”
But he immediately turned his attention back to the former NRL star, saying: “Back to Paul Gallen, excuse my French. Fight me or f**k off and go away and live the rest of your life as a pussy.”
However, Gallen immediately shot down any talk of a future fight with Goodall.
Speaking on the Main Event panel show after the fight, Jeff Horn told Gallen that Goodall was “very, very upset” and had called him out for a bout.
But Gallen knew exactly why his name was on Goodall’s lips.
“We all want a payday, we all want a payday,” Gallen said.
“I can’t understand boxers calling out a 41-year-old bloke who’s about to retire.”
Horn called Gallen the “money fight” to which the latter agreed and confirmed he had no intention of taking on Goodall anytime soon.
“That’s exactly right,” Gallen said.
“Everyone wants a payday. But I don’t know what fighting me does for his career.
“I understand people want to call me out and that’s fine. But I’ve got one fight left on contract and that won’t be Joe Goodall.”
