Glenelg has appealed a six-match ban handed down by the SANFL Tribunal after a brutal front-on bump by Brady Searle.
The suspension is the longest seen in the league for over a decade, after a collision graded as careless conduct, high contact and severe impact.
Searle’s right hip crashed into the top of Norwood’s Jack Saunders’ head midway through the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

The incident – watch here – saw Saunders sent to hospital and Searle sent to the Tribunal.
There Searle argued the impact grading should have been high rather than severe.
The Tribunal handed out a six-week suspension yet Glenelg has appealed the decision, with the hearing to take place on Thursday evening.
