Tigers centre Brent Naden was sin-binned for an ugly shoulder charge against his former club the Panthers.
In the 18th minute, Zac Hosking charged the ball into the Tigers’ defensive line and Naden flew into contact, failing to wrap his arms.
Hosking, who joined the club in the off-season, took offence to the tackle and grabbed his opponent before the scuffle was broken up.

“That’s a problem, that is a problem, Naden has flown in,” Dan Ginnane said.
“He came in like a missile… if it’s head contact it is all over isn’t it.”
Referee Adam Gee called Naden over and raised ten fingers, giving the Tigers gun his marching orders.

“There’s no attempt to wrap with the arm or anything, led with the shoulder,” Gee said.
Prior to Gee’s decision, rugby league legend Steve Roach thought the tackle deserved a harsher penalty.
“That’s a shoulder charge… he’ll go 10 in the bin here, that will be the least of his worries,” Roach said.
Naden played three seasons with the Panthers from 2019 to 2021, featuring in the club’s grand final loss to the Storm in 2020.
