Cowboys forward Jeremiah Nanai is looking at a suspension after being sin-binned for a hip drop tackle that injured Sharks prop Braden Hamlin-Uele.
The incident in the 73rd minute of the Sharks’ 44-6 win saw Nanai lose his feet and come down on the back of Hamlin-Uele’s leg prompting him to throw the ball in frustration.
“Hip drop and he is not happy about it,” Cooper Cronk said.

“The funny thing is if he hasn’t thrown the ball they might have missed this. Nanai might be in trouble from him now having thrown the football.
“Nanai is gone here. Consistency with everything in the game at the moment. He has lost his legs and swung around the back. He is gone.”
“One of the things now if you see studs in the air it is big trouble,” Dan Ginnane said.
“That was straight on the back of the leg.”

Referee Gerard Sutton wasted no time in sending Nanai for a 10-minute spell.
“You swing around on the back of his legs, it is dangerous contact, 10 in the bin,” Sutton said.
Matty Johns believes Nanai is looking at a suspension given the game’s current stance and bid to get the hip drop tackle out of the game.
“Jeremiah Nanai for his tackle on Braden Hamlin-Uele, I tell you what it is similar to a lot of them,” Johns said.

Cronk: ‘There’s not much in that at all’ | 00:39
“He is in for a nervous wait. For what guys have been suspended for it doesn’t look good.”
However, Gorden Tallis and Nathan Hindmarsh questioned if Nanai’s feet left the ground.
“I’m confused with that,” Tallis said.
“Does he drop to his knees there?”
“His legs kind of stayed on the ground,” Himdmarsh said.
“Does that help him at all? They have slid around on the deck a bit.”
