‘Not here for that bulls***’: LeBron’s blunt message after rival’s savage ‘old’ swipe

It’d be fair to say there’s going be plenty of spice between the Lakers and Grizzlies when the two teams return to the court on Sunday (all times AEST).

And LeBron James will let his actions do the talking amid a bubbling feud with Dillon Brooks ahead of Game 3 of the first-round Western Conference playoff series.

According to ESPN, James repeatedly sidestepped questions about Brooks when asked about the Grizzlies guard after practice on Saturday.

“I‘m not here for the bulls***,” James said, before cutting off his media availability. ”I’m ready to play and that’s it.”

Of course, Brooks fired shots at James after Memphis’ Game 2 win over LA on Thursday that tied up the series 1-1 following a running battle with the Lakers superstar.

“I don’t care, he’s old. You know what I mean?” Brooks told reporters.

”I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should have been saying that earlier on.

“But I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40.”

It included the pair exchanging words during the third quarter of Game 2 after James scored consecutive buckets.

Brooks also stared down James after a hitting a 3-pointer over him in the fourth term.

At Saturday’s presser, James said he hadn’t heard Brooks’ comments until a reporter queried him on it.

The four-time MVP also downplayed the impact of trash talk, declaring the on-court play would ultimately decide who advances to the second round.

“The game is won in between the four lines,” he said. ”Always has, always will be.”
