Campbell Graham has been dubbed “the best defensive centre in the game” by a Rabbitohs teammate — but his attacking efforts were a storyline in his side’s 50-16 win over the Bulldogs.

Graham was defensively perfect in the Good Friday clash, making 15 tackles with zero misses, but he was also a key contributor to the Bunnies’ nine-try haul.

The 23-year-old bagged a hat-trick in 10 minutes. He also finished the game with a try assist, three linebreaks, four tackle busts, an offload and 139 running metres.

Milestone man Latrell Mitchell shied away from talking about himself in a post-game interview but jumped at the opportunity to praise his teammate.

“A great reward,” Mitchell said when asked about Graham.

“He’s probably the No.1 bloke you’d put a bulletproof vest on and he’ll take a bullet for you — that’s just the way he plays.

“I love playing amongst it, being with him and calling him my brother. Every time he goes hard he makes me want to go harder.

Damien Cook declared Graham the “best defensive centre in the game” and was pleased to see him get rewarded on the other side of the ball too.

Cook “He’s the best defensive centre in the game. But then when he runs hard, puts his body on the line in defence and attack — that’s where he gets rewarded in those opportunities.”
