The gun defender had lost his license after running out of demerit points but continued to drive, reports Seven News.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates Court, in the process missing a training session, on Tuesday morning and claimed the incident was “an honest mistake”.

May avoided a criminal conviction and was fined $500.
It is the latest off-court incident involving May. Last year he had a drunken fight with teammate Jake Melksham at a Melbourne restaurant over an alleged sledge.
He missed the opening two rounds of the season with leg injuries but is expected to return for the Demons’ blockbuster Round 3 clash with Sydney this Sunday.
