The NRL’s regular season kicks off in only 14 days and a number of the game’s biggest stars are yet to make a call on their future.
Superstars Mitchell Moses, Adam Doueihi and David Fifita can all sign with rival clubs for the 2024 season and beyond — and each have a number of suitors.
Yesterday one of the biggest potential recruits came off the market after the Cowboys re-signed Jeremiah Nanai and the Rabbitohs duo of Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker also penned long-term deals in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, a big race is firming for the signature of Knights winger Dominic Young and several other big-name players are in the crosshairs of rival clubs.

MITCHELL MOSES
It’s now a two-horse race for Moses’ signature between the Wests Tigers and Parramatta Eels.
Fresh off a grand final appearance, Brad Arthur’s club have tabled a four-year deal with around $1.1 million per-season, according to Fox League’s James Hooper.
Meanwhile, Tim Sheens Tigers have thrown the kitchen sink at the gun halfback, offering him around $1.3 million per-season across five-years.
It is important to note the $2 million discrepancy between the two deals but Moses’ decision is reportedly set to come down to where he can win premierships.
Moses is set to make a final decision on his future in the coming weeks, but it remains unclear which way he is leaning with the situation changing so rapidly.
If the representative playmaker does make the move back to Leichhardt, he will play one season under Sheens before he has four years under rookie coach Benji Marshall.
Brad Arthur, meanwhile, is a proven coach and was only one win away from breaking a premiership-winning drought spanning back to 1986.

ADAM DOUEIHI
Gun five-eighth Adam Doueihi has reportedly been offered a one-year contract extension by the Tigers for the 2024 season, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Sheens has remained tight-lipped regarding the future of the playmaker who expressed his desire to captain the merger club.
The role has since been handed to off-season recruit Apisai Koroisau and Doueihi himself said to foxsports.com.au he isn’t “losing sleep over” his big decision.
“I like to keep that in-house and not talk about it too much but I’m obviously off-contract and in no rush,” Doueihi said.
“I’ve got a plan of what I want in the future and I’m focused on playing good here first. If I’m still off-contract come the season, I’ll let my footy do the talking and see what happens.”
Doueihi’s future could hinge on whether the Tigers are able to secure Moses with Brooks last year playing in the five-eighth role for a number of games.
DAVID FIFITA
Fifita put pen to paper on a mammoth deal worth north of $3 million ahead of the 2021 season, but now his value is expected to drop.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing on the Gold Coast, but no rugby league pundit can question Fifita’s destructive ball-running ability.
As such the Titans are desperate to retain the 22-year-old on a slightly cut-price deal.
Head coach Ricky Stuart has made no secret of his desire to secure the representative gun, with Elliott Whitehead coming off-contract at the end of 2024 and the veteran backrower already signalling he’d played his last Test for England.
“I’ve had time with David and his family,” Stuart said.
“David’s got a big decision to make and we’ve told him why we believe he’d be a perfect fit at the Raiders.”
There have been calls for Fifita to depart the Gold Coast for a fresh start, but with Kieran Foran joining Justin Holbrook’s side — they could unlock the backrower once again.
HERBIE FARNWORTH
In May last year Farnworth signed a one-year extension securing his future until the end of 2023 and prolonging the contract circus.
The 23-year-old centre is now off-contract for 2024 and it was reported after the World Cup last year the Bulldogs were considering tabling a contract.
According to The Daily Telegraph, English forward Luke Thompson reportedly told Bulldogs supremo Phil Gould to go after the gun centre.
Farnworth’s situation then reportedly changed after he verbally committed to the Broncos long term.
However, it seems there is another twist in Farnworth’s ongoing contract saga, with News Corp reporting the Broncos are in a fight to retain him and teammate Tom Flegler.
Both players are reportedly being pursued by Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins and Farnworth could be afforded the opportunity to switch to fullback should he make the cross-town switch.
VICTOR RADLEY
Multiple clubs were reportedly circling the Roosters gun lock, however Radley has his heart set on re-signing with the Tricolours according to the SMH.
The 24-year-old is off-contract at the end of 2023 and has been free to negotiate with rivals for several months.
However, Radley’s long-term future will almost certainly be in the famous Roosters trip and chairman Nick Politis made it clear the club want to retain the No.13.
“We love Victor and he loves the club,” Politis said.
“His manager (Sam Ayoub) called me and said Victor wants to do a deal and didn’t want to play the market.
“He is a Rooster and we want to keep him.”

DOMINIC YOUNG
Knights flyer Young has been one of the hottest free agents ahead of the 2023 season, and multiple clubs have reportedly shown interest in the English international.
The Dolphins, Titan, Bulldogs, Rabbitohs and Roosters were reportedly keen to acquire his services, while the Knights are desperate to retain him.
Bulldogs supremo Phil Gould revealed the club had no offers out to players for 2024 and beyond which has seen the Canterbury-Bankstown club drop out of the race.
Meanwhile, the Roosters shot to the front of the pack last week after the gun winger sat down with coach Trent Robinson for a meal at his house last week according to The Daily Telegraph’s Buzz Rothfield.
Prior to Young’s dinner with Robinson, the England international’s manager, Mario Tartak, caught up with Roosters owner Nick Politis for coffee.
Young is expected to make the big call prior to the 2023 season, and as it stands Newcastle have tabled a more lucrative contract than that of the Roosters.
However, the allure of playing for the famous Tricolours club cannot be understated.
LUKE BROOKS
The second Tigers playmaker whose future remains up in the air.
Brooks is off-contract for the 2024 season and has been free to negotiate with rivals for months.
Interestingly, Brooks has been “selling” the Tigers to Moses and is desperate to link back up with the halfback after they last played together in 2017.
“I’m not too sure what his thoughts are, but I think he’d be a great addition to our side and I’d love to play with him again,” Brooks said to NCA Newswire.
Brooks’ current deal will reportedly see him earn a whopping $1.1 million, and he told foxsports.com.au he had begun negotiations with the merger club regarding an extension.
“To be honest I haven’t really thought about it too much,” Brooks said when asked about his next contract.
“It’s kind of been good, the past few years there’s always been stuff about me going or staying so it’s been good to have a pre-season where there hasn’t been any chat.
“I’ve been able to focus on footy and that’s all I can do. When that comes up it’ll come up but at the moment I’m just focused on playing footy.”
