The Sea Eagles and Eels are reportedly considering a shock player swap between a wantaway forward and a centre who had a disappointing 2022 campaign.
According to the SMH, Nathan Brown and Morgan Harper could be traded with both reportedly being given permission to negotiate with rivals last year.
The deal is reportedly being negotiated, however Brown’s wages are considered a major sticking point.

The 29-year-old’s yearly salary is reportedly around double of Harper’s and any deal will centre around how the club’s share payment of his wages.
If Brown lands at Brookvale, he will have multiple players to fight with for regular first team football, with Jake Trbojevic a lock in the No.13 jersey.
Meanwhile, Anthony Seibold’s side also boast Haumole Olakau’atu, Karl Lawton, Ben Trbojevic, Ethan Bullemor and Kelma Tuilagi in the backrow.

The Eels on the other hand are lacking in depth in their outside backs, with Bailey Simonsson still recovering from a shoulder injury and Waqa Blake struggling at the back-end of 2022.
