Long-time sports doctor Larkins faces court, ‘fully defending’ alleged breaches

Well-known sports doctor Peter Larkins has been accused of multiple breaches of a court order.

The 68-year-old, who has been a boundary rider and media commentator in AFL circles for many years, left Melbourne Magistrates Court after a 10-minute hearing on Friday.

His lawyer Georgia McMaster successfully convinced the magistrate not to release any information about the alleged offending for now.

Larkins is accused of breaching a court order multiple times and according to Nine’s Eliza Rugg, “a woman connected to the case sat on the opposite side of the court room today”.

The court heard the case centres on a factual dispute.

Larkins will give evidence at a court hearing in March where details of the allegations and two witnesses on his behalf will be heard.
