‘Feisty’ Wade back in action after avoiding sanction for ‘unsavoury’ Thunder clash – LIVE BBL

Matthew Wade will be back in action just days after his heated confrontation with Sydney Thunder rivals, as the Hobart Hurricanes head to Perth to face the Scorchers.

The Hurricanes are working their way up the BBL table after back to back wins over the Melbourne Stars and Thunder last Sunday.

But they’ll face a fired up Perth outfit who return home after the final ball loss to the Sydney Sixers on Sunday night.

The Hurricanes will bring three West Aussies home for the clash with Perth – including the in-form Tim David, Joel Paris and D’Arcy Short.

The match will be the first since Wade drew the attention of match officials for his “friendly” shove with Australian teammate David Warner.

It’s been reported Wade had sledged Warner’s Thunder teammate Chris Green about his early issues with an illegal bowling action.

And after viewing several angles of the “shove”, match officials determined there was no malice involved from Warner to Wade with both avoiding sanction.

Wednesday night’s clash starts at 7.40pm AEDT from Perth Stadium.
