The Melbourne Stars will be desperate to kickstart their spluttering season when they face the second-placed Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium on Thursday night.
It’s the second time the sides have met this month, with the Scorchers (3-1) defeating the Stars (1-3) by 61 runs at Junction Oval, led by a 74-run, 33-ball stint at the crease from Josh Inglis.
While the Scorchers are in good form, the team suffered a blow this week when Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was ruled out of a return to the BBL with the side, as he recovers from a minor finger fracture.
