Renegades star Jake Fraser-McGurk has delivered what could be the catch of the summer only 12 months after he took what was hailed as the “catch of the season” in BBL11.
The 20-year-old who is “quickly becoming one of Australia’s great fielders” reeled in a Shadab Khan pull shot off the bowling of David Moody.
Renegades gun Aaron Finch could be heard immediately saying “six” once Khan made contact with the ball before he was heard cheering for his teammate who lobbed the ball back into the field of play before jumping over the boundary rope and finishing the stunning effort.

“Oh ‘Rooster’, he’s got it, woo hoo,” Finch said.
Against the Strikers last year Fraser-McGurk sailed high to dismiss opening batsmen Jake Weatherald and at the time Fox Cricket’s Brad Haddin said “it doesn’t get much better than that”.
However his latest effort left the Fox commentary team stunned as the Hurricanes struggled to put runs on the board at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart, being dismissed for only 122.
“We saw an excellent one from him last season, here he comes again, Fraser-McGurk to the rescue,” Fox Cricket’s Isa Guha said.
“I thought that was going a long way back, we have seen him do it before, he’s as athletic as anyone in the world,” Fox Cricket’s Brett Lee said.
“He is quickly becoming one of Australia’s great fielders, he has taken some screamers, look at how relaxed he was.”

“Everything has to go right here, judgment has to be perfect, have a look at this, takes off from inside,” Haddin said.
“That is extraordinary athleticism, presence of mind, not many people in the game can do that.”
The cricketing world was left equally stunned, with many labelling his latest effort the “catch of the season”.
