Almost scored the third try in the 25th minute but had the ball dislodged at the last second. Got pinged for a sloppy play the ball in the second half and then went for an intercept that allowed Samoa to score in the 62nd minute. Made three errors but had the last laugh by scoring the final try of the night thanks to a cut-pass from Nathan Cleary. Finished with 93 metres and seven tackle busts from eight runs.

9. JOSH ADDO-CARR – 8

Set up the second try after making a break through the middle and putting James Tedesco over to score. Could have gone for a record 13th try at this World Cup but took the team option each time.

7. CAMERON MUNSTER – 7.5

Gave away a strip penalty at the start of the second half but 10 minutes later pulled one off successfully. Threw a beautiful inside ball for James Tedesco to score his second try in the 67th minute. Had two linebreak assists to his name and made 21 tackles.

14. NATHAN CLEARY – 8.5
