SGA SINKS WIZARDS

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander really is on his own level right now.

The Thunder star dropped an equal career-best 42 points including the game-winning three-pointer to lead his team past the Washington Wizards on the road 121-120.

It was yet another dominant performance from Gilgeous-Alexander, who added six rebounds and seven assists and shot 14-of-21 from the field.

It also marked his 10th 30-point game this season, which is more than Devin Booker, Damien Lillard and Zach. LaVine combined, per StatMuse.

He did only shoot 12-of-17 from the free throw line after going into the game shooting a ludicrous 94 per cent.

But it was an otherwise massive showing and just the latest in an epic run of sctinilating form that is showing no signs of slowing down.

Understandably, the NBA world lost it after the 24-year old’s game winning triple.

Former NBA sharpshooter JJ Redick tweeted: “Shai is cold as f***.”

“I don’t think it’s innate, I think he works for it” Mark Daigneault said of Gilgeous-Alexander post-match.

“His work ethic is well documented, I’ve talked about it many times. I think that’s where confidence comes from for him.

“He doesn’t get too high after a night like tonight, he doesn’t get too low when things aren’t going well.

“He just pours back into the work, and so when he gets into those moments he’s got great confidence and poise. The reason is because he works for it.”

The contest went right down to the wire, with Bradley Beal nailing a huge baseline jumper with Lu Dort’s hand in his face to put the Wizards up 120-118 late.

But Gilgeous-Alexander responded straight away at the other end of the court by sinking his huge step back three-pointer to put the Thunder back up 121-120 with 1.1 left.

Washington got one final inbounds play to try and win the game, but the ball deflected off Dort then Beal to clinch the victory for Oklahoma City.

With it, the Thunder improved to 7-8, while it snapped a four-game winning streak for the 8-7 Wizards.

Dorted added 16 points for OKC, but really it was a one-man show, while Kristaps Porzingis (27 points, nine rebounds) and Beal (25 points, six boards, six dimes) led Washingtom.

MOBLEY’S HUGE DUNK ON GIANNIS WOWS

It’s not often you see Giannis Antetokounmpo dunked on, or even any player attempt to do so.

But Evan Mobley red-lined to the hoop and slammed the ball in over Antetokounmpo in the opening minutes of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks in an epic play.

The rare sight of the Greek Freak getting posterised went viral on social media and got people talking.

It set the tone for the Cavs in a tough road matchup against Milwaukee – albeit without Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton – and it was neck and neck in the first half.

But Milwaukee exploded in the third, wining the period 34-18 behind the lead of Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez to surge ahead, going on to win comfortably 113-98.

Lopez finished with a game-high 29 points from seven triples and three blocks and Antetokounmpo had 16 points, 12 boards and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland both chipped in 23 points for Cleveland.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Bucks to improve to 11-3, while the Cavs suffered their fifth-straight loss to fall to 8-6.
