Selections based on a soft track.
Race 1
7. Divo had a couple of trials late last year and then two more before making his debut at Newcastle with a second after leading just over two weeks ago. He’s drawn well here, should go forward again and will take plenty of running down. 8. Odaka has had two starts either side of a spell. She ran well enough on debut at Randwick then resumed in tougher grade at Scone when midfield. She has had a trial since then to be kept up to the mark. 1. Blue Suede Hooves resumes from a spell here on the back of two trials in which he has performed well. He is unplaced from three starts but is set to return with an improved showing. 4. Capital Jicinta ran third on debut at this track in April and warrants some thought again.
How to play it: Divo to win.

Race 2
1. Vetwelve has only had six starts and has been placed in three of them. He led them up on the Kensington track at Randwick last time out and battled on well enough to finish third. This looks a nice race for him to break through. 2. Justice Warrior has been racing well with placings in his past two starts and another bold showing is on the cards. 9. Our Jewel was placed at Goulburn three starts ago and has been midfield in two runs since then. She ran third in a recent Warwick Farm trial to be kept up to the mark for this. 7. Omaha Sand was midfield at Scone when last produced and is a place chance here.
How to play it: Vetwelve to win.
Race 3
6. Contemplates is on debut after three trials. She hasn’t been too far away in the past two since returning from a break and is out of well-performed mare Entertains. 2. Auditory is also on debut here after three trials and has the ability to run a bold race. 3. Champagne Hero ran fourth in a Canterbury event last time out and should be thereabouts again, while 5. Oatar comes out of the same race Champagne Hero contested and looks an improver over the longer trip.
How to play it: Contemplates each way.
Race 4
1. Charleroi won a Kembla Grange maiden two starts ago and then finished a solid second at Hawkesbury last week. He’s on the way up and should give a bold sight again here. 3. The Professor has been placed in all three starts since resuming from a lengthy spell. He’s drawn awkwardly here but is worth plenty of thought. 6. Southern Sky hit the line well to score a strong debut win at Goulburn and looks talented, while 2. Mostro disappointed at Newcastle when resuming but is capable of improving sharply to figure prominently.
How to play it: Charleroi to win.
Race 5
2. Sum Invictus won a maiden at this track in February as favourite when only having his third start. He was spelled after that and had a trial before resuming with a last placing at Canterbury when not beaten far. This looks an easier assignment, and he can hit winning form again. 1. Carnegie Hill resumed from a spell with a dominant Hawkesbury win as favourite and should be thereabouts if he can repeat that. 5. Iceman was placed in a couple of runs before a last-start fifth when only beaten to lengths. 10. Lady Savannah has the talent to figure in the finish.
How to play it: Sum Invictus each way.
Race 6
1. Dumebi was a winner on the Beaumont track at Newcastle last December and then ran seventh on the Kensington track at Randwick in January before being spelled. He resumes from a spell here for a new stable and has won a Kembla Grange trial in preparation. 2. Zulfiqar ran well when a last-start fourth at Canterbury. He has the talent to give this a shake on his best form. 6. Zip On By comes into this on the back of a last-start second at Gosford and a repeat of that would have her in the mix again. 5. Mercantilist was a debut winner at Gosford and ran fourth at Hawkesbury at her only other start. She has the ability to be thereabouts again.
How to play it: Dumebi to win.
Race 7
9. Flame Of Hestia was a winner at Taree at her second start before being spelled. She resumed and did the job well to score a runaway win at Newcastle and since finished sixth at Canterbury. She has won a trial on the Beaumont track at Newcastle since then and looks primed to bounce back to winning form here from the good barrier. 10. Loafer made it three wins from 12 starts when scoring at the Sapphire Coast last time out and should run well again here. 11. Miss Backchat was a Goulburn winner when resuming from a spell and followed that up with a midfield effort at the same track. 3. Are Ee Que has won three of her past four starts and has the talent to give this a shake.
How to play it: Flame Of Hestia to win.
