Eagles have 32 inside-50 entries – without a goal

This has been dumbfounding. The Eagles have dominated play up forward with 32 inside-50 entries, but have yet to score a goal – and we have eight minutes remaining in the second term. The Kangaroos have yet to score this term, stuck on 20 points.

It’s quarter-time in Bunbury

The Kangaroos have begun well, leading 20 to five at quarter-time in Bunbury despite the Eagles dominating the inside-50 count 21-10. The Eagles have 14 inside-50 tackles – the most for a quarter they have had in a decade – but it’s on the scoreboard that really counts.

Paul Curtis has two goals, while half-back Caleb Daniel has 11 touches for the Kangaroos. Ruckman Tristan Xerri has seven contested possessions.
