‘Want you in crutches’: Brutal knee bar, killer KO ends ‘pure savagery’ UFC clash

Roman Dolidze ended his fight with Phil Hawes in devastating style, applying a brutal leg lock then landing shots to his head for a knockout.

Hawes initially took down Dolidze but ended up in a leg lock that appeared to pop his knee out in a grim sequence.

The fight continued though as Hawes bravely fought on, but Dolidze took advantage of his wounded opponent by timing a sequence combination that laid the American out.

The pair fought it out in the middleweight featured preliminary bout of UFC Vegas 63 on Sunday (all times AEDT) at UFC APEX.

It marked Dolidze’s third-straight victory including five wins from six UFC appearances so far to continue his impressive line of form.

“That’s how it is,” Dolidze said in his post-fight interview. “If you don’t tap, I knock you out. … These guys don’t understand who I am. They need to give me better fights.”
