Welcome to Friday night footy

Hello and welcome to our coverage of two intriguing Friday night battles in the opening round of the 2025 NRL season.

First up, Benji Marshall’s revamped Wests Tigers side – featuring new recruits Jarome Luai, Terrell May, Sunia Turuva, Jack Bird, Jeral Skelton and Royce Hunt – takes on Kalyn Ponga and the Newcastle Knights at Campbelltown.

Then South Sydney play host to the Dolphins in a match that has been moved out of Brisbane due to Cyclone Alfred. Dolphins players Kodi Nikorima, Mark Nicholls and Kenny Bromwich have chosen to remain at home with their families, while the Rabbitohs are also short on troops with star duo Cameron Murray and Latrell Mitchell sidelined through injury.

We’ll have all the action as it happens throughout the night, right here. Stay tuned.
