Selections based on a good track.
Race 1
4. Be Quiet has shown ability in her career despite not managing to figure in the placings in her five starts. She resumes here and has looked good in her two trials leading into this, so a bold showing fresh is on the cards from the inside gate. 6. Mia Ballerina has been placed in both runs back from a spell, including a city third at Warwick Farm when resuming. 7. Still Excited is on debut and has had a good grounding with four trials under her belt. 1. Mission Gold is also on debut and has had a couple of trials in preparation. He should be ready to run well.
How to play it: Be Quiet to win.

Race 2
4. Bremel ran well when a last-start winner at Hawkesbury, going forward and going on with the job. She looks well placed here and should give a good sight again. 5. Firework has been placed in both runs since resuming from a spell and warrants respect despite the rise in grade. 6. Listins Lass scored a surprise victory at Scone when last produced and is not out of this. 3. Ghielmi scored an upset win at this track earlier in the month in only his second start. He can be thereabouts again.
How to play it: Bremel to win.
Race 3
1. Colophon is a talented performer that was racing well before being spelled, and he is a city winner on the Kensington track at Randwick. He looks to have the talent to return with another win. 2. Invade And Conquer has only won one race but has a further nine placings and can add to that tally. 4. Boomtown Chat resumed with a solid victory at Hawkesbury, and he only needs to run up to that to be a leading contender here. 5. Emilia Jane ran home well when resuming at Warwick Farm and has the ability to make an impact.
How to play it: Colophon to win.
Race 4
10. Inevitable Truth is a classy filly that wasn’t beaten too far behind Treasurethe Moment when fourth in the Wakeful Stakes and then midfield in the VRC Oaks when last produced. She’s had two trials leading into this and should be primed to sprint well fresh. 8. Amreekiyah was close up in her latest trial. 5. Sheriff’s Star comes into this on the back of a last-start second at Canberra when he had his chance. 11. Pear Bellini was down the track on debut but can improve.
How to play it: Inevitable Truth to win.
Race 5
8. Montigo Bay is a handy galloper that ran well when placed at this track when last produced, his fourth placing from 10 starts. 1. Eyespye The Eagle made his debut at Newcastle with a solid fourth at big odds. He can go on with the job and make an impact. 3. That’s Outstanding is resuming having run well over longer trips last campaign. Expect him to sprint well fresh and hit the line well. 2. Gallant Rush was midfield at Newcastle on debut and can lift on that and figure in the placings.
How to play it: Montigo Bay to win.
Race 6
1. Rumbling Night wasn’t beaten too far on debut at Hawkesbury, then was backed as if unbeatable and won accordingly at Newcastle at his only other start. He won by a big margin in that event and resumes from a spell here on the back of two recent trials in which he showed improvement last time out. He is suited by the 1500m first up. 5. Exclusive Artist hit the line hard to get up to score a strong win at the track at just her second start, and she looks to be one of the leading contenders again, while 6. Horizons was a winner here before a break and then resumed with a third at Wyong. 2. Hardpoint is resuming, but won well at Wyong at his second start and is worth plenty of
thought.
How to play it: Rumbling Night to win.
Race 7
5. Aunty Rene is resuming from a spell, but had solid form last preparation when winning a couple on end at this track and then at Wyong. She failed to fire at Warwick Farm before being spelled and has had a couple of trials leading into this, looking good in both. Expect her to sprint well fresh. 1. C’mon Mate has won two of his past three starts with both of those victories at this track. He is racing well enough to give this a shake. 3. Artful Persuasion is first up from a spell and had a couple of wins to his name before a midfield effort in the Four Pillars before the break. 11. Sturn Words is a last-start Sapphire Coast winner that warrants respect.
How to play it: Aunty Rene each way.
