Welcome to our live blog of the annual Charity Shield in Mudgee, where Wayne Bennett’s South Sydney Rabbitohs will be hoping to retain the trophy they won last year when they face Shane Flanagan’s St George Illawarra Dragons.
The Dragons remain in the hunt to win the NRL’s Pre-Season Challenge – and $100,000 in prizemoney – after an impressive defeat of the Sydney Roosters last week.
